Subject: Request removal software and METAFERT IRRISIAS .
Preg.mo President,
I am writing to bring to your knowledge of the degradation of our profession of Agronomy after the application of software METAFERT in the Region of Sicily, not only in the mandatory application of environmental measures of the RDP, but in all those companies that fall, alas, in nitrate vulnerable zones, areas in our region, among other things, indicated in a highly questionable, as the included manual, which "makes water" from all sides. Back to
METAFERT. This software, developed by officials of the Sicilian Region, forcing some to draw up plans for all fertilization without any sense, but especially outside of reality.
In addition to our professional or agronomist who is in the country and that after several decades of observations and recommendations in a given company, now is forced to sit behind a computer to decide the fate of the production company, without taking into account the potential for anything productive, the climatology of precipitation, the products which are obtained in different years.
The software processes a given, starting from the soil sample, and that's it, no account is taken of the removals made by plants according to production (which varies from year to year), no account is taken of leaf analysis is not taken into account periods during which production is carried out: nothing. Only the analysis soil. The software shows what
make as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium! In most cases, moreover, the software tells us not to fertilize.
And all the other trace elements? All of those trace elements that we bring with targeted foliar fertilizer? How can a software
substituted for our presence in the field? We throw the boots?
addition to that the software has not necessarily been drawn up by a technician: data entry, in fact, involves a very high expenditure of time, if a company needs to insert data No 5 parcels of land, first I go to my studio, and finally all girarmela exercise my role: that of the agronomist!
In all other regions Italy of this software does not exist! We have the "privilege" of having just us! Neglected a privilege! Feel
many colleagues, in addition, the response is unanimous: no one wants this software! We would like to return to agronomists, and above all we would like to streamlined procedures and not cobbled together, and meaningless, as the METAFERT!
METAFERT addition to the Sicilian Region has also invented the IRRISIAS, another software that does not take into account the irrigation period, the production per hectare of the various crops. From information based on GPS location and nothing else. And what do we play? But we are serious?
The invitation to link up with our Councillor, a copy of that law, which is a colleague, and that will certainly give us a helping hand in this mini-battle, which will be a great test of our professionalism.
We agronomists, and we can not be replaced by software, among other writings and managed "with their feet".
